Puppy Dog Tales at Bryant Elementary School

All 4 5th grade students read to Jacee. All read the same book Ruth and the Green Book, by Calvin Alexander Ramsey and Gwen Strauss, about the segregated South in the early 1950’s.

This is our last visit of the school year, and we look forward to returning in the fall.

Rooftop School

Jacee visited the Rooftop School, which is a possible place for her to visit starting in the fall term. Rooftop is a public “alternative” school. It’s in a beautiful setting on the edge of Twin Peaks, overlooking the city. We visited the pre-school class. About 1/3 of the class is special needs children. Everyone loved Jacee.

All four students read to Jacee today. Two students read The Other Side. Jacee also was read The Berenstain Bears Get the Gimmies and Pickles to Pittsburgh. Pickles to Pittsburgh is the sequel to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

We return next week, since the previous week was missed due to Spring Break.
