Jacee and Greyhound Luna were at John O’Connell High School to help students de-stress during exam week. The visit was very well organized, and there was a steady stream of students coming in to greet both dogs. jacee had a great time!
The 5th grade class was on a field trip, so Jacee was read to by 4 Kindergarten students. One had really good reading skills, and read Dr. Suess’s Un Pez, Dos Peces, Pez Rojo, Pez Azul (One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish) fluently. The remaining students read from very simple books in Spanish.
Jacee visited the pre-school and kindergarden classes for the last visit before the holidays. We used the flash cards again which were very popular. Even though the kids couldn’t read them, they had a great time picking them.
Jacee was invited to the University of San Francisco Zief Law School library to give some puppy love to students studying for final exams next week. She met about 20 students plus several staff members, including a friend of Valerie’s from the Smofo pet group.
Jacee was read to by the two fifth grade students. She was read more of Junie B., First Grader: Cheater Pants, and Ant City. We return in 2 weeks for the final session of the semester.
